He has served as Executive Director of The American Youth Symphonic Orchestras (AYPO) since 2014, where he reversed a decline in participation and income, expanded programs to 16 activities including eight orchestras, and instituted a robust Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Access policy. Previously, he was Executive Director of The Prince of Wales’s “North Highland Initiative” in Scotland, where he established and developed a major nonprofit cultural organization, raising over £10 million for arts and education projects.

Dr. Elliott holds a PhD and MA from the University of Wales, and a BMus (Hons) from the University of London. He holds fellowships from several leading music institutions and holds dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom.
